Discover the world of opportunities through Rotary to enrich your journey ahead …
What is it?
Known internationally as Rotary Leadership Institute, RLI is a modular programme designed for:
  • New members to gain a broad understanding about Rotary that helps them become more engaged
  • More experienced Rotarians to develop and refresh their leadership skills and knowledge of Rotary.
Who can do it?
Anyone who is a Rotarian.
Presidents, Presidents-Elect, Presidents-Nominees and their club leadership teams, plus Assistant Governors and District Committee Chairs are strongly encouraged to attend.
Clubs are encouraged to send their new members, leaders and potential leaders.
A typical RLI course will include both long-serving and new Rotarians.
In the Document area at the bottom of the page, you can find a list of D9910 Rotarians who are doing or have completed RLI
How does it work?
The course has three different modules which are presented in either day-long parts (Part 1 is always one day) or across a weekend (with Parts 2 & 3 on one day).
It is facilitated learning and information sharing, presented in a fun and interactive style, designed to provide both general Rotary knowledge and develop leadership skills.
Class size is limited to maximise the benefits of these discussion-based sessions.
Registration is either online via the link above or by using the downloadable registration form below.  You can register at any time for an RLI course.
Why should I do it?
Enthusiastic RLI graduates return to their clubs with fresh ideas, new tools, new contacts, an increased understanding of their potential as Rotarians, plus an increased motivation for Rotary service!
Many of the new ideas, concepts and skills learned are also beneficial in attendees’ business and personal lives.
How much does it cost?
In D9910 the course cost is 50% subsidised by the District.
The other 50% is invoiced directly to the attendee’s club.
An individual can pay for their course cost themselves if the club is unable to fund them.
Current costs are:
Part 1                                     $60 per person (total) = club/individual cost of $30
Part 2                                     $50 per person (total) = club/individual cost of $25
Part 3                                     $50 per person (total) = club/individual cost of $25
Parts1-3 (weekend deal)        $100 per person (total) = club/individual cost of $50
When is it on?
Courses are held quarterly.  Scheduled dates and venues listed below:
August 2018        TBC (possibly Whangarei)
October 2018      TBC (Auckland)
March 2019          Venue TBC
Where is it held?
Courses are held alternately between Auckland (Northcote venue) and a northern venue.
