The District Learning & Development Team assists the District to develop leadership skills and increase Rotary knowledge so Rotary leaders and Rotarians in our District can contribute successfully to the achievement of the goals determined by Rotary International and the Governor for the current year and beyond.

  • Provide a level of knowledge and learning that will enable each leader to enjoy making an effective contribution to the achievement of the goals set by Rotary International and the Governor;
  • Ensure Rotary Community Leaders, Club Presidents and Club Officers are aware of the goals for the year and provide information and skills to help achieve them in an effective and positive way;
  • Manage the content, logistics, promotion and presentation of the Rotary Leadership Institute programme (RLI - Rotary Learning & Information) to ensure all Rotarians in the District have the opportunity to upskill in Rotary knowledge;
    (NB:  RLI is on hold)
  • Work with District Chairs to provide information and skills in particular topics that will help Rotarians in their quest to achieve the goals;
  • Work with the other New Zealand District learning & development teams and the Rotary South Pacific Learning and Development Portfolio on a standard framework and approach to President-Elect learning, particularly in relation to the multi-district learning.
Please note that under the current Rotary South Pacific Pilot the delivery of Learning and Development will be different from previous years.
